COMPANY SIMULATION PACELINE

Aim of 'Paceline is to gain insights in the key levers to optimize the supply chain and gain awareness of the advantages and desired conditions of organization-wide cooperation/optimization:

  • Full-day business simulation: support organizational change in the supply chain
  • Target group: Board of Directors and Managing Directors
Accell Group

Accell group is an international organization that makes high-end and midrange brand bikes. The market is disrupted by online initiatives and consolidation. To stay a step ahead, Accell needs to concur the following challenge:

“How to create awareness in the operating companies about their role in making the global supply chain more efficient, yet not at the expense of their uniqueness?”

Urgency and common language

Jeroen Both, CSCO:

“The Paceline Simulation helped us to create the sense of urgency and awareness we needed everyone to feel. It fitted with moving from the conceptual to the execution stage of the project."

"The message of this simulation wasn’t a particularly popular one, so the reactions varied: enthusiasm, resistance, doubt, fear and eagerness. It was all there. It was insightful to see how people related to the change message. Yet the message was clear, strategic and related to the business model in every detail."

"During the strategy sessions the day after, people couldn’t stop referring to the business simulation. “Paceline” created a common language for the changes that lie ahead of us.”

Spot-on

Frank Keepers, HR Director:

“The simulation wasn’t made overnight. The consultants interviewed a wide variety of employees at all levels in the organization and were provided with relevant business data.

This not only resulted in a spot-on business model, but also made us see that we agreed on headlines, yet still had considerable alignment to do regarding the communication and implementation process.

The facilitators allowed us to make mistakes, kept us focused and safeguarded the scope, while providing feedback.

InContext developed and facilitated a business simulation that provided insights on what teamwork in the new reality of a globally integrated supply chain would feel like.”
